Lactation Consultations

 

Lactation consultations are available in our office to provide support and assistance to achieve a successful breastfeeding experience. Consultations include assessment of baby's latch, evaluation of feeding, assistance with any feeding difficulties and the development of an individual plan of care to meet the needs of both you and your baby. Issues will also be addressed that occur throughout the continuum of breastfeeding such as engorgement and poor weight gain to pumping and eventually weaning.

Because our services are provided by a Nurse Practitioner, our lactation consultations will be covered by most insurance plans.
